Genevieve lives a life as a shy and neurotic book editor, avoiding her co-workers and trying to become the next ghostwriter for her publishing house’s most popular crime novel series. But no one, not even her therapist, knows that Genevieve has a secret battle with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Although her life at home and in public is a constant struggle to avoid any stressors that could trigger her dissociation, the series and its random depictions of DID begin to disturb Genevieve as she becomes overwhelmed by memories she had no part in creating. Uneasy about how dangerous she and her altered “Stevie” are, she discovers clues to the horrors they have been a part of. Getting dangerously close to the mysteries of her past, Genevieve descends into terrifying hallucinations as she gets closer to the origin.
